About this opportunity
Seed–Series C founders need a force-multiplier — someone who owns the projects nobody else can. Pricing studies, expansion plans, M&A diligence, board prep. You'll be the connective tissue between the CEO, the leadership team, and the board.
Strong writer, strong runner of complex projects, and comfortable holding the line with executives when priorities slip.
Core responsibilities
- Lead the highest-leverage cross-functional initiatives (pricing, expansion, M&A diligence)
- Own the OKR cadence and the weekly leadership ops review
- Prep the board materials when the founder doesn't have a CFO yet
- Drop into special projects: new market launch, org redesign, fundraise narrative
- Build the meeting + decision-making rhythm that scales with the company
Required qualifications
- 6+ years in strategy consulting, operating roles at fast-growth startups, or both
- Strong written communication — can draft a board memo from scratch
- Comfortable holding the line with executives when priorities slip
- Prior Chief of Staff or Strategy & Ops role at a Series B+ company
Nice to have
Not required — but will strengthen your match quality.
- Background at McKinsey / Bain / BCG before going operator
- Experience supporting a fundraise from start to close
- Familiarity with M&A diligence + integration playbooks
