About this opportunity
Seed–Series B companies need the first marketing hire after the CMO — someone who builds the demand engine instead of just running it. You'll set up paid acquisition, lifecycle automation, and the MQL→SQL plumbing that lets sales hit number.
You'll often be the only marketer in the room for the first quarter. Comfortable being scrappy, hands-on, and accountable for pipeline.
Core responsibilities
- Stand up and run paid acquisition across Google, LinkedIn, and Meta
- Wire lifecycle automation: MQL→SQL flows, nurture sequences, lead routing
- Set up the marketing attribution stack so every dollar is traceable
- Pair with the founder + CMO on weekly pipeline review
- Build a content + SEO foundation that compounds over 6+ months
Required qualifications
- 6+ years running growth at B2B SaaS or PLG companies
- Hands-on with HubSpot / Marketo / Customer.io and a paid-channel stack
- Track record of taking a brand from cold-start to $1M+ in pipeline
- Comfortable being the only marketer for the first quarter of the engagement
Nice to have
Not required — but will strengthen your match quality.
- Previous role at a Series A/B B2B SaaS with a strong PLG motion
- Experience with ABM tooling (6sense, Demandbase) at scale
- Familiarity with martech instrumentation (Segment, RudderStack)
