About this opportunity

Seed–Series B companies that need a CFO-quality output without the CFO price tag. You'll build the model, own the monthly close, prep the board pack, and pressure-test the founder's fundraise narrative.

This is the hands-on finance hire every founder needs before they need a full CFO. Detail-oriented, model-fluent, and comfortable taking unstructured questions and returning structured answers.

Core responsibilities

• Build and maintain the 3-statement financial model + scenarios
• Own the monthly close cadence with their bookkeeper or controller
• Prep the board deck — KPIs, runway, hiring plan
• Pressure-test the founder's fundraise narrative with real numbers
• Set up the SaaS-metrics layer (ARR, NDR, CAC payback, magic number)

Required qualifications

• 6+ years in FP&A, ideally at SaaS or tech companies that raised institutional rounds
• Fluent in NetSuite/QuickBooks + a modeling stack (Excel, Causal, Pigment)
• Comfortable taking unstructured questions and returning structured answers
• ARR mechanics, unit economics, and cap-table fluency required

Nice to have

Not required — but will strengthen your match quality.

• Prior in-house FP&A role at a Series A/B SaaS company
• Experience supporting a fundraise from due diligence to close
• Background in M&A diligence or scenario modeling
